Renard Gt (Motorcycle) by Andres Uibomäe
2016 - 2017, Platinum A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award Winner
The characteristic design of Renard GT searches for relations between the motorcycle design of the 1930s and nowadays. The inspiration of Renard GT is coming from high-technology materials which serve a Scandinavian logic of form. While being unique, Renard GT is designed to be functional and user-friendly product.
The DNA of the Renard GT is engineering intelligence – an ultra-light composite unibody, longitudinally mounted V2 engine and components that represent the cutting edge of the motorcycle industry. The Renard GT’s carbon-fiber monocoque weighs only 9 kilograms, thanks to an increased cross-section, the composite body ensures very precise steering. The unibody integrates the motorcycle’s frame, fuel tank, and air box into a single load-bearing.
Design Challenges
Andres Uibomäe did not encounter any design challenges while designing the award winning Renard Gt Motorcycle.
Production Technology
From an engineering point of view, the Renard Gt Motorcycle by Andres Uibomäe is a good example of a highly-developed project.
